About Jennifer Moire, Founder and Principal

Jennifer creates communications programs that draw on her experience inside and outside the beltway, with major corporations, top PR firms, high-profile political campaigns and major news organizations. Experienced in all aspects of public relations, with an expertise in media relations, she has a proven network of contacts among national and local media, blogs, Capitol Hill and political reporters, and personality columns.

Prior to establishing Lyon Park Public Relations, Jennifer directed media relations at C-SPAN, the "political network of record" and the eighth largest TV network.

A news hound and political junkie, she promoted C-SPAN's unique brand of public affairs and book programming to a wide range of media, such as radio and TV networks, political and Capitol Hill reporters, personality columnists and editorial writers. She also managed effective communications campaigns for major corporate initiatives, including the groundbreaking policy to ease copyright restrictions for the online and broadcast use of network video. Her efforts during an unmatched period of new program launches generated results that made an impact in an increasingly competitive media environment.

Jennifer also served at two award-winning public relations firms - Shandwick Public Affairs and Dittus Communications -specializing in high-tech policy communication campaigns directed at media, Capitol Hill, federal agencies and the White House.

She has also served in senior positions at major companies. At West Group in St. Paul, Minn., a global information company and provider of the research service WESTLAW, she was the principal spokesperson during a $3 billion merger with Thomson Corp. and managed crisis communications for issues such as ligitation and restructuring. She was also the strategist in major corporate initiatives, product launches and executive outreach. As global public relations director for American Medical Systems, a $100 million medical device company, she managed marketing communications, direct-to-consumer campaigns and investor relations.

In addition to her corporate, media and agency experience, Jennifer joined the press office for high-profile national and state political campaigns: Bill Bradley for President and Tim Penny for Governor in Minnesota. She was also the assistant communication director in the office of interim U.S. Senator Dean Barkley.

Jennifer has an MBA in Marketing, enhancing her ability to help clients identify and reach target audiences.
