Energy Efficiency Partnership of Greater Washington

 

Challenge: Virginia Tech's $500 million, multi-sector initiative is aimed at turning the national Capital region into a leading "green" city through retrofits of existing buildings via high-profile events for stakeholders across the area.
Solution: Developed and executed a regional media relations campaign for events aimed at raising the partnership's profile using multiple platforms and streaming video for online and broadcast media.
Result: Widespread coverage in national, regional and local media, including a front-page story in the Washington Post, Associated Press, extensive DC-area television and public radio, business publications, leading environmental blogs and regional online forums. Raised the partnership's visibility and attracted new partners, dozens of commercial building owners and key stakeholders such as state and local government.
